Event: CLAI Third Postgraduate Symposium

Short Description: The Comparative Literature Association of Ireland was founded in 2008. Two International Postgraduate Symposia were held in 2008 and 2009 (see http://www.complit.org/index.html for programmes and proceedings). The third Symposium is entitled "Gender and Identity in Comparative Literature" -- a theme which is not intended to be taken in a narrow or restrictive manner. Proposals are invited for papers addressing issues of gender and identity from a comparative perspective. Please submit abstracts, 400 words maximum, to Dr. Abdelkader Cheref at the University of Limerick (abdel.cheref@ul.ie) by 15 September 2010. Proposals will be reviewed by a selection committee and participants notified of the committee’s decision by 30 September 2010.
