An Arabic-English pictorial dictionary for students and beginners will hit the market next month. A mobile app of the dictionary is also in the works.
Compiled by Amanulla Vadakkangara, the dictionary contains selected words with pictures. Vadakkangara is a former Ideal Indian School Arabic and Islamic department head with 22 years of experience teaching Arabic to students and adults.
"I have selected some 1,000 words with pictures for this project and feel it will benefit all those who are interested in learning the language," Vadakkangara said."In my experience, Arabic is one of the easiest languages to learn. If taught correctly, children of any standard will find it interesting."
Vadakkangara is known for his innovative approach to teaching Arabic. His short-term courses are much appreciated by participants.
He was responsible for introducing Arabic as a second language in CBSE-affiliated schools in Qatar and his books are prescribed by several schools in India. His books are now sold worldwide. His spoken Arabic programme on a UAE-based radio channel, Voice of Kerala, is followed by thousands of learners.
His books are effective self-study tools compiled based on practical experience and proven methods to make learning easy and interesting for any type of learner.
