    You would say a central reservation in UK but a median strip in the US.
    You would say the bobbies in UK but the cops in the US.
    You would say a level crossing in UK but a railroad crossing in the US.
    You would say a motorway in UK but freeway \ expressway\highway in the US.
    You would say a lorry in UK but a truck in the US.
    You would say a pavement in UK but a sidewalk in the US.
    You would say a windscreen in UK but a windshield in the US.
    You would say a zebra crossing in UK but a crosswalk in the US.
    You would say a pair of trousers in UK but pants in the US.
    You would say a sweet in UK but candy in the US.
