Cost-effective: Actions or activities that reduce or save expenses and hence are effective in cutting costs. Achieving the best possible results through the least amount of expenditure; for example, the greatest possible reduction of carbon dioxide emissions at the lowest cost. A prime aim of all GEF activities is to be cost effective.<o
