تحكيم الأبحاث
يعرض عليَّ من وقت لآخر مقال أو بحث للتحكيم وإبداء الرأي فيه. وغالباً ما تعرض علي مقالات تتعلق باللغة العربية أو اللغات القديمة وآدابها. وكان آخر ما حكمت بحثا كتبته كاتبة لبنانية تود نشره في مجلة علمية معروفة في أوربا.
لقد كثر الأكاديميون العرب الذين ينشرون في الآونة الأخيرة أبحاثاً بالإنكليزية أو الفرنسية في مجلات أو حوليات علمية متخصصة في الغرب، وهذا أمر حسن. وللفائدة أضع بين أيديكم أنموذجاً للتقرير الذي يحرر بعد تحكيم البحث، فقد يفيد منه مَن ينوي الكتابة بهدف النشر في الغرب.

2) Knowledge of the literature: Does the author show sufficient knowledge of previous research and publications on the same issue? Are the references and the citations correct?
