القصد من تعيين محكم ثالث (= "محكم مرجح") هو لترجيح الكفة واتخاذ القرار عند اختلاف المحكمين الاثنين وعجزهما عن التقرير. وأنا كنت أترجمه بـ (deciding/decisive arbitrator)، وقد يكون له مصطلح آخر لا أعرفه وليس بين يدي معاجم الساعة.
